This Warranty Statement reinforces our commitment to transparency, quality, and support, ensuring you can enjoy the best of life with peace of mind.

1. Instructions for use and care

To preserve the upholstery and extend its lifespan, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Use the product in dry, well-ventilated indoor environments.
  • Avoid exposure to direct or indirect sunlight, excessive humidity, and heat sources.
  • Do not sit on the armrests or backrest, and do not jump on the furniture.
  • Avoid contact with makeup, insect repellent, tanning products, and any type of chemical.
  • Clean only with a soft cloth dampened with water and mild soap; dry without rubbing.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner only with a soft attachment, without applying excessive pressure.
  • In case of spills, blot immediately with a clean cloth without rubbing.
  • Be mindful of pets; they can damage fabrics and fibers.
  • Avoid sharp objects and do not drag the furniture.
  • Plump the cushions regularly to restore their volume.
  • Do not place the furniture directly against walls or other pieces of furniture; continuous friction can cause permanent damage.
  • Avoid contact between light-colored fabrics and clothing that may bleed dye.
  • Covers and cushions should not be washed.
  • The Jardim Estofados warranty applies only to fabrics included in our portfolio. For customer-supplied fabrics, the material supplier’s recommendations must be followed exclusively.
  • Operate reclining and extending mechanisms with care and never allow improper use by children.

2. General considerations

  • Jardim Estofados products are handcrafted and may exhibit slight variations in dimensions.
  • Wood and natural fibers possess unique characteristics—such as nuances, grain patterns, and tonal variations—that do not constitute defects.
  • Fabrics may exhibit pilling, fiber flattening, pressure marks, or variations in sheen during use, particularly velvet-like fabrics. These behaviors are natural and do not constitute defects.
  • Color variations may occur depending on the viewing angle, lighting, or weave direction.
  • Jardim Estofados reserves the right to refine or modify product technical details over time.
  • This document supplements the care instructions found on the product label and the official website.

3. Warranty

3.1 Fabric upholstery

For fabric upholstery, the total warranty period is 6 (six) months, comprising the 90-day statutory warranty and a contractual warranty provided by Jardim Estofados for the remainder of the term. Coverage applies only to fabrics from the official sample collection. Customer-supplied fabrics are not covered by the warranty.

3.2 Structure

For the structure (wood, foam, webbing, mechanisms, legs, springs, natural fibers): the total warranty period is 12 (twelve) months, comprising the 90-day statutory warranty and a contractual warranty provided by Jardim Estofados for the remainder of the term.

3.3 Material replacement

Jardim Estofados will perform replacements using stock materials of comparable quality, maintaining the product’s finish, comfort, and performance standards.

4. Situations voiding the warranty

The warranty will be automatically voided in the following situations:

  • Misuse or use contrary to recommendations.
  • Improper cleaning or the use of chemical products, including waterproofing agents.
  • Exposure to sunlight, intense heat, excessive humidity, or the elements.
  • Damage caused by insects, termites, rodents, or accidents.
  • Structural alterations. removal of original identification or repairs performed without factory authorization.
  • Replacement of parts, modifications, or third-party interference.
  • Failure to follow care instructions.

Shipping Damage

In the event of shipping damage identified upon delivery (dents, tears, impact marks, or dirt), immediately notify the store where the product was purchased. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.

5. Technical Assistance Process

If you require assistance, contact the store where you purchased the product and have your sales receipt on hand. The store will perform an initial assessment; if signs of a manufacturing defect are found, they will forward the request to Jardim Estofados, which may also conduct a supplementary technical evaluation. If the service request is approved, the store will arrange for the product to be collected from your home; the product must be well-protected—in its original packaging or equivalent—and a shipping invoice will be issued for transport.

If misuse or a condition that voids the warranty is identified, you will be responsible for the costs of transport and repair. After the repair, the product is returned to the store that made the sale, which will handle the delivery to you.
